Family Support
Lydia Rex is now full time at Bien Aimé Farm as our Director of Family Support. In addition to developing our new family support programming, Lydia will be offering individual family coaching, personalized resource recommendations, or simply a listening ear and prayer - depending on what your family needs right now. Coaching can be done in person at the farm, during your child's art/equine sessions or over Zoom for your convenience.
Please reach out to her - she would love to get to know you whether or not you are currently looking for some additional support! Email Lydia
Parent coaching is different from counseling or other services you may have experienced. As a coach, Lydia draws from the following:
-
The healing and wisdom we most need for our families is found only in Jesus!
-
A simple, Biblical framework for parenting that has been life-changing for thousands of families. Learn more.
-
While the Connected Families framework is trauma informed, Lydia brings additional insights as a Trust Based Relational Intervention practitioner.
-
You are the expert on your child and family. Lydia can support you in stepping into your God-given influence and leading your family with grace!
Before we begin, here are a few important guidelines:
The coaching workbook is designed to be a guide for our sessions. We likely won’t discuss everything in it, but it is packed with great information. We will discuss the material in the workbook that corresponds to each session and work together to identify key action steps for the time between sessions.
Your reminder emails for subsequent sessions will include a link to fill out the Session Prep form prior to your next coaching session.
You will likely get out of coaching whatever you follow through with and put into practice between sessions. Pay attention to the last page of each session and review what was discussed.
NOTE: We recognize that there are seasons of life as an adoptive family that are overwhelmingly hard. If you are in “survival mode”, we will spend our time together in prayer and working through simple steps more slowly. Coaching is designed to be a “just right challenge” for you and should be empowering, not another weight on your shoulders.
